The Beacon represents the ambitions of a developer/builder to attract millennials to downtown Cleveland, with shared amenity spaces and a contemporary address. Set upon an existing concrete parking structure, the addition’s verticality is accentuated by a varied gradient of an insulated metal panel exterior inspired by the neighborhood masonry palette. The apartment level floor plans are regular and narrow to minimize eccentric loading on the existing base.
