Neighborworks built a supportive housing facility with 22 apartments and 18 shelter beds on a narrow infill lot on Attleboro’s commercial strip. With great community support, the project opened in early 2025 as the first ever adult housing shelter in the city.

The existing building previously situated on the site was an underutilized single-story office building. NeighborWorks acquired the property with the goal of creating the first Adult Emergency Shelter and Supportive Housing in Attleboro. The project provides residents with on-site bike storage, parking, and recreational space with direct access to the city’s public transportation.

The 22 Supportive Housing units are 300 square foot studios with dedicated kitchens and bathrooms. Two units are designed as fully handicap accessible and one additional unit is for the sensory impaired.

The overwhelming community support for this project was a catalyst in making it become a reality.
