The last remaining farm in a town that was once an agricultural economy, BFS is a community hub for growing healthy food, restoring soil health, promoting equitable food justice, and offering environmental education. The master plan complements the Farm’s strategic goals and mission for an all-volunteer organization that continues to expand its programs.

Plan priorities included providing (1) a network of accessible paths of materials that would not negatively impact the soil; (2) definition for the three primary program areas – Farm Stand, Learning Garden, and Seed/Compost Area; and (3) options for future expansion.
